Chief Executive Officer

Ken Havlinek co-founded the company after 29 years of product development experience within the Oilfield Service industry.  Most recently, he was the VP of Research & Technology at C&J Energy, a wireline and frac technology company.  Prior to this, he was CTO at Probe, a company that designs & manufactures cased-hole & geothermal industry technologies.

Previously, Mr. Havlinek served in a variety of positions at Schlumberger throughout two decades:  Initially as a junior design engineer then ultimately rising to Technology Center Manager at SLB’s esteemed Sugarland Campus in Houston.  In between, Mr. Havlinek developed expertise in all phases of the R&D process and a wide array of specialties, including:  LWD, wireline, artificial lift, unconventional resources, and advanced completions.  

Mr. Havlinek holds both S.B. and M.S. degrees of Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). 

Chief Technical Advisor

Dr. Tingji (“TJ”) Tang has over ten years of experience working in the O&G and semiconductor industries, with expertise and a highly successful track record in successful product development, including fracturing fluids, sand control fluids, production enhancement technologies and EOR technologies.  

Dr. Tang has authored 15 high impact scientific journals along with 30 published patents focusing on fracturing, diverters, dissolvable magnesium alloys, sand control, and downhole tools, etc. He has managed the commercialization process of many innovative products, including: AccessFrac® Stimulation Service, FinesWedge®, PermQuest®, Traceless® Dissolvable Frac Plug, Protek®-PSA, iDSolveTM POP plugs and Elite® Dissolvable Mg Alloys.

Senior Analyst & Design Engineer

Sharath Kolachalam comes to the company as a problem solver with 18 years of industry experience with notable accomplishments in R&D, customer needs based New Product Development and Introduction (NPD and NPI), Simulations, Technology Innovation, Product Life Cycle management, Project and Team management, Sustaining, and Data Analytics.

His Oil and Gas experience includes drilling mechanics, drill bit and BHA design, wireline tools, fracking and surface equipment, decommissioning tools as well as pipe lines and transportation.

Mr. Kolachalam holds an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Technology Development Advisor

Bulent Finci has over 22 years experience in the development and commercialization of high performance & efficient technology oilfield products.  Additionally, he was involved in the initial formation of two new ventures throughout his career and has managed successful exits.

Mr. Finci has gained expertise within both conventional and unconventional energy markets, including wireline, drilling, completions, surface systems and advanced electronic technologies by leading engineering & research teams within companies such as NexTier OFS (formerly C&J Energy Services), ThruBit (A Schlumberger Company), and Schlumberger. This also provided Mr. Finci with experience in leading manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and sales organizations both domestic and internationally.

Mr. Bulent received his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering (Minor in EE) from UT-Austin. He holds 12 patents.

Research Program Advisor

Dr. Baojun Bai is a Professor and the holder of the Lester R. Birbeck Endowed Chair in Petroleum Engineering Program at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T). He has seven years of industry experience as a reservoir engineer in PetroChina and more than 20 years of experience in the research areas of enhanced oil recovery, unconventional reservoirs conformance control, CO2 sequestration and characterizations.

Dr. Bai has published more than 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals and SPE conferences. He served as the JPT Editorial Committee from 2007 to 2013. He is a technical committee member of SPE ACTE 2016-2019 and SPE Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition (APOGCE) 2015-2018.
